We created Cuvva because of our own poor experiences dealing with insurance companies. Too often they were slow and painful, with an inflexible agenda. Not us! We weren’t insurance guys at the time, but we did know a lot about tech and believed we could build a much better and smarter experience for customers. We wanted to put them in control, cut out the middleman and also save money. It’s early days and we’re not afraid to try new things if that means a better experience for customers.
At Cuvva, our company values are defined by the people that work here. We want to create products that we are both proud to use and that our customers can trust.
We want to provide our users with flexibility by breaking the norms and removing the hassle from what can otherwise be a traditional and overly complicated market.

We want to be open and honest with our customers at every stage, from receiving a quote swiftly and easily to driving a brand new vehicle home from the dealership. We want to ensure there is an understanding of what is happening and why – we intend to have a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere to achieve this.
We are truly passionate about what we do and want to build insurance products that customers enjoy using. We channel this passion into everything, whether it’s assisting customers in the early hours of a bank holiday, building a new product or improving our app to make it the most seamless experience possible. By prioritising the experience of our customers, we’re raising the standards of the insurance market in general.
From the outset, Cuvva was about a simple idea: making insurance simple. We strive to leap forward by offering a fresh take on the way people take out insurance to fit with their needs. Our intention from the outset was to build products that make a difference. We started by making it easy to get covered on a friend’s car, then we provided infrequent drivers the opportunity to buy driving cover when they needed it. We’re continually innovating to provide temporary cover to fit the needs of everyone.
When our CEO, Freddy, first started talking to established insurers and underwriters about the possibility of offering hourly car insurance, they told him it couldn’t be done, there wasn’t a market for it and it would never work! 3 years on and we are still here, selling tens of thousands of short term policies each month.
We’re now being recognised as a disruptive force and we’re even winning awards too!
