Naomi Metzger is the British triple jump champion - as well as a passionate Cuvva user. She has kindly written a guest blog for us explaining how our short-term cover is helping her chase her goals.
My name is Naomi and I am a professional triple jumper. I have represented Great Britain on numerous occasions and my personal best in the triple jump is 14.22m. For context, this is more than the length of three cars! ๐ ๐ ๐
Last year, I made a big decision to leave my home in Manchester and move to a brand new city! I moved to Italy last October to join a professional training group.
Moving to a new country has been super eye-opening. It has allowed me to experience a new culture, train with Olympic medallists and, of course, eat a lot of pasta!
Here's where Cuvva comes in.
As I am based in Italy for up to 10 weeks at a time, short-term car insurance means I can access a car when I return home.
As a young driver, insurance can be expensive, and it didn't seem reasonable for me to pay for a year-long deal when I am only home a total of around 6 or 8 weeks a year.
As my training programme is full-time, returning to the UK can be quite sporadic and only for a short period, so short-term insurance makes it simpler to visit all the family after spending so much time apart.
Cuvva is a great option for me as it allows me to easily get a policy with a click of a button. This can be from as little as one hour to a rolling monthly subscription.
The British Championships, which act as the trials for the Commonwealth Games and World Championships, will be held in Manchester this year.
Cuvva makes it easier for me to drive there as the stadium is only down the road from my houseโฆ though hopefully, I can get a lift!
Fingers crossed I qualify for the Championships and defend my title!
I would recommend using Cuvva, especially if youโre based in another country, as it gives you complete peace of mind and flexibility when you return home.
Good luck Naomi from everyone at Cuvva! ๐
