Who would be considered a ‘close relative’?

While we appreciate there may be plenty of people you feel close to, the only people that can be considered as ‘close relatives’ in a claim are the following:

Your mother, father, sister, brother, fiance(e), wife, husband, civil partner, domestic partner, daughter, son, grandparent, grandchild, parent-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, step parent, step child, step sibling, next of kin or guardian.
