What would be covered under ‘personal belongings’?

Personal belongings would include items such as sports equipment, documents, money and baggage. The accidental loss, damage or theft of each of these would be covered up to the amounts listed in your policy schedule. It would not, however, cover any items that are left  unattended at anytime, unless they have been left in a safe or locked in accommodation.

General wear and tear to luggage or sports equipment would not be considered for a claim and nor would items confiscated or detained by customs.

If your baggage is lost for more than 12 hours whilst travelling, we cover the replacement of essential items.
