MyLicence allows you to view your driving data online

MyLicence is a government service that allows individuals to see and share their driving licence details online.

It also allows insurers to access your driving record when you buy insurance. This makes the process of getting a quote quicker, easier, and more accurate.

We use it to provide instant quotes

We use MyLicence to provide instant car insurance quotes in the Cuvva app, without you having to answer loads of questions about your driving history.

Thanks to MyLicence, we can pull your licence details directly from the DVLA when you enter your drivers licence number into the app.

This allows us to provide you with an accurate quote that takes your full driving history (including any points) into account.

It’s only available in Great Britain

MyLicence is a GB-only service - at the moment, there isn’t an equivalent in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, or outside of the UK.

That’s why we can only insure drivers with licences issued in England, Wales or Scotland.

We’d love to see this change in the future, but it all depends on other parts of the UK (and non-UK countries) allowing us to access licence data in this way.

Any questions? Our customer support team are on hand 365 days a year, from 9am to 9pm. Just drop them a message in the app or email support@cuvva.com.

Happy driving 🚗
